We will take you for a historical and cultural sightseeing tour of Kathmandu after breakfast today. The tour will take you to some of the cultural heritage sites in Kathmandu valley. Those sites are Pashupatinath to see the Hindu cremation rituals on the bank of a holy river, Boudhanath which is the largest Buddhist stupa in the world, Swoyambhunath famously known as monkey temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square which is a medieval palace square where you visit the temple of living goddess, Kumari.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Sotikhola
We drive to Sotikhola today. This around nine hours of drive will take us to the destination via beautiful countryside of Nepal. The drive brings us some spectacular views of the middle hills and high snowcapped mountains in the Himalayas as well. We drive to Dhadingbesi and then drive further to Sotikhola via Aarughat bazar. While drive past these and other several local towns, we can notice the cultural lifestyle of the people living in there and in the countryside.

Day 04: Sotikhola – Machha Khola
The real adventure of trekking in the Manaslu begins today after breakfast. We go past some beautiful ethnic Gurung villages on the trail where we can get a bit of glimpse of their cultural lifestyle. We trek past beautiful terraced paddy fields, forest and many other spectacular landmarks in the area. Once we reach Machha Khola, we check into a guest house and relax.
Day 05: Machha Khola – Jagat 1410m
The second day of the trek will take us to a beautiful village called Jagat. We will have chance to walk through beautiful landscapes for about seven hours before we reach Jagat. We walk past a natural hot spring and cross many suspension bridges on the way. It is a very good experience of natural wonders and culture of the rural Nepal. On reaching Jagat, we check into a guest house and relax.
Day 06: Jagat – Deng 1804m
Deng is the village where we are trekking to after breakfast today. We map the mountain trail up and down the hill walking past some beautiful villages and forested areas. We are still walking on the Budhi Gandaki River valley so we meet the same river on our walk today. It will take us around seven hours to reach Deng to stay overnight.
Day 07: Deng – Namrung 2630m
We are slowly gaining the elevation on our trek to this beautiful Manaslu region. We will walk to 2630 meters today to Namrung. Now the Buddhist cultural experiences are evident on the trail as we walk past Buddhist monasteries. High Mountain cultural in Nepal is basically influenced by Buddhism so the same is with this region as well. After walking for about seven hours through the beautiful landscapes, we reach Namrung to be greeted by magnificent view of the Himalayas. We check into a guest house and relax.
Day 08: Namrung – Samagaun 3530m
We are gaining another 900 meters of elevation today when we reach Samagaun after the walk of the day. The walk today brings us some spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks including the Manaslu itself. We walk past several beautiful cultural villages and Buddhist monasteries before we reach Samagaun to stay overnight.
Day 09: Acclimatization Day
As we are already at the elevation of 3530 meters above sea level, it is essential that we acclimatize with this high altitude climate especially when we are going even higher in the days to come. We spend the day today by exploring Samagaun and surrounding. We can explore the Buddhist monasteries in the village, go for a walk around, and be enchanted by the overwhelming charm of the mountain peaks. Stay overnight at Samagaun today.
Day 10: Samagaun – Samdo – 3860 m
Our day trek starts with a descent first. The trail descends down to a river where we will find two trails. One goes towards Manaslu Base Camp but we take the other that goes towards Larkya La pass. After walking for about five hours and enjoying the incredible landscape and other wonders of the region, we reach Samdo where we are staying overnight.
Day 11: Acclimatization Day
Another acclimatization day at Samdo today. We go for day hiking trip just to get acquainted with the high altitude climate here. After the day of exploration of the area, we come back to Samdo and stay overnight.
Day 12: Samdo – Larkya Phedi – 4460 m
We are walking to Larkya Phedi today for about five hours. Larkya Phedi is situated at the elevation of 4460 meters above sea level. We walk past amazing landscapes on the mountain trail enjoying the natural and cultural wonders in the area. As we are gaining a good elevation today and going be at almost 4500 meters above sea level, its better we keep our pace slow which will allow us to save energy and get familiar with the climate there. Stay overnight at Larkya Phedi.
Day 13: Larkya Phedi – Larkya La – 5160 m – Bimthang – 3720 m
We are going to be at the highest elevation of the trip today as we cross Larkya La pass. It’s a glacial walk to the Larkya La which brings some breathtaking views of the Himalayas. The walk today is full of all Himalayan fun and excitement created by the magnificent views along the trail and from the pass. When we reach the pass we achieve the elevation of 5160 meters above sea level. After the pass, the trail descends down to take us to Bimthang at the elevation of 3720 meters above sea level to stay overnight.
Day 14: Bimthang – Tilije – 2300 m
Now onwards we are making only the descents on the elevation level. We are trekking for about six hours to Tilije today. The greater relief is that we are going down on the elevation and we still can enjoy the Himalayan wonders along the walk. We walk past some local settlements and other wonderful landmarks before we reach Tilije to stay overnight today.
Day 15: Tilije – Dharapani– 1960 m
We will meet the famous Annapurna Circuit trekking trail on our walk today. When we reach Dharapani, we can meet people walking on the Annapurna Circuit trekking trail. We will have some wonderful cultural and natural experience as we walk past villages and beautiful landscapes. Once we reach Dharapani, we check into a guest house and spend the rest of the day there enjoying the wonderful sight.
Day 16: Dharapani – Chame 2710m/8891ft: 5 – 6 hours
The walk today to Chame from Dharapani is spectacularly stunning as we will be able to have full-fledged view of some of the mountain peaks in the Annapurna range. The majestic view of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV and Lamjung Himal is the day maker. Despite the challenge of walking on some tricky mountain trails, we will enjoy the view to its fullest.
Stay overnight at Chame.
Day 17: Chame – Pisang 3300m/10824ft: 5 – 6 hours
We are trekking to Pisang today and the trek starts after breakfast at the tea house. About 6 hours of walk today will lead us through some scenic places in the route. We will be rewarded with the magnificent view of Annapurna II and Pisang peak and also be captivated by the spectacular Himalayan mountain landscape.
Stay overnight at Pisang.
Day 18: Pisang – Manang 3500m/11482ft: 6 – 7 hours
The walk from Pisang to Manang via upper Pisang gives us the opportunity to have spectacular view of Annapurna, Pisang and several other high soaring mountain peaks. A more or less 6 hours of walk via Geru takes us to Manang where we are staying overnight today. We will also pay a short visit to the biggest monastery, Barge monastery, in the district.
Day 19: Acclimatization Day in Manang
Today, we will stay in Manang as an extra day to help ourselves adjust with the high mountain climate. We can go for a side hiking trip to a higher elevation and come back to Manang for overnight stay. There are several options to go for hiking today. We can choose to do one of them. The hiking and staying overnight at the same place as previous night should prepare us to go to higher elevation tomorrow.
Day 20: Manang – Siri Kharka 4060/13320ft: 4 – 5 hours
Today, we will take the route to go towards Tilicho Base Camp to visit Lake Tilicho, the highest situated lake in the world at the elevation of 4949 meters above sea level. The first half of the trek today goes downhill to the river and later passes through forested area. To reach Siri Kharka, we need to walk on an uphill trail with an excellent view of some spectacular mountain peaks.
Stay overnight at Siri Kharka.
Day 21: Siri Kharka – Tilicho Base Camp 4140m/13583ft: 5 – 6 hours
An approximately 6 hours of walk takes us to Tilicho Base Camp today. Although the walk today is not strenuous, we can feel a little tired as we have to walk through some tricky trails with several landslides. We have to be extra careful to walk on these kinds of narrow and loose mountain trails.
Stay overnight at Tilicho Base Camp.
Day 22: Tilicho Base Camp – Lake Tilicho 4949m/16138ft – Siri Kharka: 5 – 6 hours
We are going to visit Lake Tilicho today. Lake Tilicho is highest situated lake in the world at the elevation of 4949 meters above sea level. The very first part of the day is a tough steep climb uphill on the trail before reaching the lake. Once we reach the lake, we feel overwhelmed with the majestic beauty of the lake. There is another lake called “The Great Ice Lake” on the other side of Lake Tilicho beautifully cuddled on the lap of Tilicho Peak.
We will trace our way back down to Tilicho Base Camp and walk even further to Siri Kharka for overnight stay.
Day 23: Siri Kharka – Yak Kharka 4040m/ 13020ft: 4 – 5 hours
We are walking to Yak Kharka today after breakfast. A descend welcomes us to start the hike for the day. Walking past Khangsar village, we follow a trail on rocky wall to reach Thorang Khola. An uphill trail welcomes us again to take us to Yak Kharka for our overnight stay today.
Day 24: Yak Kharka – Thorang Phedi 4420m/14500ft: 3 – 4 hours
A relatively shorter walk today takes us to Thorang Phedi, the base of Thorang La pass. Although a shorter walk, its mostly uphill walk today all the way up to Thorang Phedi. The trek today brings us a spectacular view of several mountain peaks including Thorung peak, Mt. Khatungkan, and Mt. Syagang. On reaching Thorang Phedi, we will check into a tea house and relax to get ready for the ascent of Thorang La pass early morning tomorrow.
Day 25: Thorang Phedi – Thorang La 5416m/17760ft – Muktinath 3802m/12467ft: 7 – 8 hours
We start the day very early today to ascend the trail toward Thorang La, the highest elevation on the trip. The day is also the highlight of the trip as it takes us to the highest elevation on the trip. A slow paced four hours’ walk up the mountain brings us to the incredible Thorang La pass. We feel the thrill of joy taking over us; pose in front of Thorang Pass sign for pictures and then head down towards Muktinath on the other side of the pass. Reach Muktinath, relax and be happy on your achievement on the Himalayas.
Day 26: Muktinath – Jomsom 2700m : 4 – 5 hours
We take our breakfast at Muktinath and start the trek for the day to Jomsom. Today is the last day of our trek which comes to an end after trekking for about 5 hours. We enjoy the last day of the trek on this beautiful Himalayan landscape to the fullest before we reach Jomsom for lunch. We check into a hotel and take our lunch. We can go for an exploration of the town for the rest of the day.
Day 27: Jomsom – Pokhara 900m
We fly to Pokhara early morning. Although a short flight of about 20 minutes, the route brings some stunning mountain views to us. Once in our hotel in Pokhara we have free day to rest, relax and wander around the lakeside.
Day 28: Pokhara – Kathmandu: 6 – 7 hours
We will drive to Kathmandu today by tourist bus. It will keep us on the highway for 7 hours before reaching Kathmandu. We also have an option to fly for 25 minutes at an extra payment for the flight.
On reaching Kathmandu, we will check into hotel, freshen up and have some relaxing time before we go for celebration and farewell dinner tonight.
Day 29: Departure Day
Get ready at the hotel lobby 3 hours prior to your flight time and we will transfer you to airport for your departure flight.
Day 16: Taal – Syange – 1080 m
We trek to Syange today traversing the trail on Marsyangdi river valley. The day is a wonderful mixture of culture and nature. Stay overnight at Syange.
Day 17: Syange – Kathmandu
We drive to Besisahar early in the morning and get on to another bus that takes us to Kathmandu. It’s a long day drive today and most of our time will be on bus but we still get to see beautiful countryside and some spectacular views of the Himalayas before we reach Kathmandu. Once we reach Kathmandu, we go to hotel, check in and relax at leisure.
Day 18: Departure Day
Get ready at the hotel lobby 3 hours prior to your flight time and we will transfer you to airport for your departure flight.
